Hillingdon Ramblers have a very full programme of walks, with something to suit all tastes, rural and urban, weekends and mid-week. As well as our regular walks members are occasionally notified of additional walks at short notice by email.

Have a look at our programme of Walks at www.ramblers.org.uk/hillingdon to see what we offer, and at ourEvents Page, and the Gallery to see what we offer and do

  1. Gentle morning walks of 3-4 miles, usually locally based, no stiles and accessible by public transport. Just the thing if you like a relaxed pace, offered on several Saturdays throughout the programme.
  2. Moderately paced afternoon walks of 5-7 miles, the most popular walks in our programme are offered almost every weekend.

Walks of 10-15 miles, every Sunday, for those who enjoy an all-day walk. We cover a sizable geographical area from the Chilterns, the Thames valley and Hampshire to the hills of Surrey and beyond: a wonderful way to discover new areas of the country. An optional car-sharing scheme operates on some Sundays from Hillingdon Station. Phone the leader for details of this.

Moderately paced 5-7 mile walks on some Tuesday mornings, concluding with a convivial pub lunch after working up an appetite.

A chance to enjoy an all day walk of 10-14 miles, usually in the Chilterns. We are one of the few groups in our area offering walks like this mid-week. We also include a few London walks, accessible by public transport.

  1. Occasionally in the summer we take advantage of longer days with a late afternoon/evening walk of 5-6 miles, finishing with an optional pub supper.
Bank Holidays
Walks are offered on some bank holidays, usually all day.

Holidays and Short Breaks

Have a look at our gallery for photos of some of our trips away. We have had breaks in the Isle of Wight; Dorset; Devon, the Lake District and the Peak District, just to mention a few.

Socials - We don't walk all the time; we like to include some social get togethers in our programme too, even at our AGM we enjoy a home cooked meal thanks our super team of volunteer caterers!

Most of our walks can be found on RA web site

A full programme of our walks can be obtained from the membership secretary

You are welcome to join us for 2-3 walks before deciding whether to join the Ramblers. You don't need to live in the Borough to join our group. You can choose to join any group you like but we do hope you will choose us!
